Xie Xingfang of China inflicted a crushing defeat on Jun Jae-Youn of South Korea 2-0 in the Macao Badminton Open women's singles final to secure her first title here on Sunday.
Xie, the top seed, showed no mercy to a sluggish Jun as she rallied to a 21-10, 21-10 win in just 33 minutes.
Wining the opening game 21-10, Xie had a 9-1 run in the second to lead at 12-5. Jun tried to claw back some points but only to see Xie produce another 6-1 run to the final victory at 21-10.
Despite her easy victory over Jun, world number two Xie doesn't want to describe the final as an easy victory.
"It is not an easy game and I think something influenced Jun because she played much better in previous games."
"I will not be over-confident. I will treat the game against Jun seriously if we meet again," said Xie.
