After breaking Malaysia’s men’s doubles title drought last week in Birmingham, Koo and Tan have won their third Super Series title. After losing the first game 17-21 to Eriksen and Lundgaard, the Malaysian’s turned things around and won the next two games 21-16, 21-12. Thus far they have won the Malaysian Open, All England Open and now the Swiss Open. The women’s doubles was a far less intense encounter as China’s Zhao and Wei easily defeated Koreans Lee and Lee 21-15, 21-10.

China continued their title haul as both Chen Jin and Zhang Ning won their respective events. Chen defeated the surprise finalist Simon Santoso from Indonesia 21-16, 21-10. Santoso had to go through the qualifying draws in order to make it to this stage. Zhang defeated her teammate Lu Lan 21-16, 21-18 to secure her first Super Series title.

Finally in the mixed doubles it was Korea’s Lee and Lee who won their first Super Series title when they defeated Indonesians Polii and Rijal. The final score was 14-21, 21-16, 21-18.

The next Super Series event will be the Singapore Open from May 1st to May 6th.
